Ten Reasons to Send your Dog to Daycare
As a pet owner, you know how important it is to give your dog the care and attention they need. However, if your dog spends extended periods alone during the day while you are at work or play, then you know your dog is not getting the attention he or she requires, which can lead to feelings of guilt for you as well as some not-so-nice behaviours in your dog. If this is the case in your household, you may want to consider sending your pet to dog daycare. Download our Questionaire
The Benefits of Dog Daycare:
1. Provides Routine
Dogs are creatures of habit and very much like routine. Sending your dog to daycare will help to maintain a daily routine of walks and playtime. Here at Pampered Pet Lodge our daycare provides a regular routine for your dog that always includes a playtime either in a group play scenario or one-on-one with a handler. If your dog prefers humans as opposed to other four-legged play mates, not to worry, we offer daycare to suit both types of dog daycare needs.
One of the major benefits of sending your dog to daycare is that he or she will get daily exercise and metal stimulation which is so important for your dog’s overall health.
3. Owner Peace of Mind
For you, the dog owner, you will enjoy the peace of mind knowing your loved one is being well-cared for while you are busy elsewhere, eliminating the guilt you may have felt while he was home alone for so many hours at a time.
Having your dog around other dogs as well as other humans is a great means of providing positive socialization for them. Companionship is extremely important in dog’s well-being and is the key to making sure your pet lives a happy and comfortable life.
Sending your dog to daycare will provide him with the loving attention and affection that dogs need on a regular basis. At Pampered Pet Lodge, our staff members are chosen because they love working with animals. We are all pet owners ourselves and we understand a dog’s need for continued, loving attention and we pride ourselves in delivering just this to all of our dogs.
Sending your dog to daycare is often a much safer option, especially if your dog is one who tries to escape his yard or crate. At Pampered Pet Lodge, safety is our number one priority for each of our guests. All of our daycare dogs are monitored very closely.
Some may think that doggie daycare is an extravagant expense, however when we look at all the benefits your loved family member receives from daycare it falls under the affordable title. The cost of daycare can easily prevent expensive negative outcomes of being a dog owner, in the end, participating in doggie daycare becomes an investment rather than unnecessary expense.
If you feel that doggie daycare will be a little too much for you or your dog every day, consider bringing your dog once or twice a week. At Pampered Pet Lodge, if you are registered with us in our Daycare Program we offer last minute, same day Drop-off daycare option for those pet owners who may need daycare last minute and want to take advantage of our daycare rates. 9. A Content Dog is a Happy Dog
A dog who has been physically active and mentally stimulated throughout the day will naturally be much more content. When a dog is content, he tends to behave in a loving, obedient manner which, makes you, the owner happy as well. 10. Relieves Boredom/ Separation Anxiety
One of the primary reason that dogs can develop destructive behaviours is due to not having enough stimulation. If a dog is left by himself for several hours a day during the work week, he may become exceedingly bored or over anxious, either way, this can manifest into a wide behavior of destructive behaviours as well as health concerns. A great daycare program will offer healthy stimulation combined with healthy bathroom breaks which are very important for.
